I'm so lucky that I don't have to drive to work. I literally sleep at work.
But before the workday starts, my girlfriend and I have a nice morning routine . While I shave, she applies Sea Buckthorn and Nettle to give her skin a lovely extra glow in the morning, while also nourishing it.
This is Ane's favorite product. 😍

After shaving is done, I use Calendula Balm, which was enough to calm the skin down before it even had time to become irritated. This I highly recommend it for aftershave, anywhere on the body! But then we're ready to start the day 😁
Finished with grease Calendula

Then it goes into production – where the magic happens by hand.
Today I'm in the middle of the salve pot with my fine production colleagues. We're a good team that works closely together - literally. We barely have room for everyone in the production kitchen here 😅
It's like a little hive, but that only makes us better: everyone knows what's going on, and everyone helps each other. It may be crowded, but the atmosphere is always good 🎉
The production team 😎
We whisk and mix together the amazing ingredients in each product. by hand, and fill each jar manually with a funnel. If you don't concentrate, you can easily end up with spills or overflowing jars, so here we have to keep our mouths shut. (Not always easy when you're working with your best friends🤣)
Me and Marius make Sensuell and Panterbalsam
When the ointment is completely finished and has been allowed to set, I jog over to the kårhuset, which is for customer service, shampoo and body soap production. Our new pouring machine is waiting there – and even though it does the job more precisely, it is still hand-made from start to finish.
Our new pouring machine 😍 Look how nice it is!
Today it is Shampoo with wild herbs on the plan. Here we take care of the entire production process by hand (that's probably where my huge biceps come from 😉). Here you usually stand alone, but now with the new pouring machine in place, efficiency has increased considerably. Now one person can start pouring shampoo or body soap, while the other finishes producing the last batches.

After lunch, I'm taking the drone out to film the progress of the construction of our new farm building!
Out for a daily walk with the drone
An incredible amount has happened here in a short time, and it's awesome to see this progress from the air. Video of this will be available on our social media. Check us out on Facebook and Instagram!
The roof is already in place, so we're considering moving the Christmas tree down there this year🎄😆 The plan is for the building to be completed by July 1, 2026 🤯

In a workplace where so much happens, there will of course also be some mess and waste. But we take it very seriously🚮
One of the coolest tasks I have in Vossabia is throwing away the trash. I make sure everyone understands where the different waste should be sorted, and every other week I fill our Vossabia trailer with trash and go to Bjørkemoen (the waste station in Voss) for delivery. This is an important task for us and one of the measures we must take to achieve our goal of becoming an environmental lighthouse certified company ♻️
Are you also a Vossabia fan? 😜
When the waste is sorted and the working day draws to a close, the forest awaits🌲 Junipers are to be picked – and what starts as a nice walk in the forest turns into The forest on the body the next day.
Showing Bendik how to pick juniper 🤗
Just a few hundred meters into the forest, Bendik and I pick juniper berries that we cook overnight. The next day, it becomes The forest on the body – the warm, clean scent fills the whole house with a wonderful aroma 🤤
Cooking juniper ♨️
Once this is done, I can say I'm quite happy with a completely normal working day at Vossabia. If you want, you can make a small part of our day yours too 🥰
Greetings from Emil and the Vossabia team 🐝💛
