Korles, take good care of your eyes - the window to our soul!

Cheerful and happy and a little lazy, like me and Ylva? The eyes tell the story! 👁‍🗨
The eyes reveal feelings, but also physical and concrete things in our lives? The eyes reveal a night of partying or a night of wakefulness with toddlers 👩‍🍼 Long office days in front of a screen and dry air 👩‍💻 – it is noticeable on the eyes and the skin around them. Allergies, little sleep, the food we eat and the drink we drink 🍸 Outdoor activities in a lot of wind and sun or cold weather are also shown 🌬

Well, there's no way to tell everything the eyes and the thin skin there are telling you about: red and sore skin, irritation, swollen eyes, inflammation and watery eyes, lines and wrinkles and bags and sagging skin 🙈 Fortunately, there's a lot we can do to take care of these beautiful windows of our soul, give them extra care and show love to both the eyes and the delicate skin around them 🙌

🐝

This thin skin around the eyes is often the first place we start to get fine lines, wrinkles or skin that starts to hang a little. Of course, it's just wonderful that it seems like we're getting older, but often such signs appear on the skin for more reasons than aging 😰 And then you just have to open your eyes to natural remedies that can delay lines, fill in, give glow and get rid of bags and swollen eyes, and not least relieve red and sore skin around the eyes 🌱👀

So just open your eyes and read on 🤓, because here come some great tips and of course the story of our lovely Augebalsam , a wonderful 16-year-old to have in your house!

eye balm

🧿 Natural eyewash
First, a quick little tip that you can quickly make in your kitchen. A refreshing and soothing eye rinse. Perfect if you have tired, irritated, swollen eyes. And this one is recommended really cold, then it can also perk you up both physically and mentally. 💆‍♀️

· 1 cup water
· 2 tablespoons chamomile flowers (dried or fresh), or crushed fennel seeds

Bring the water to a boil, remove from heat, add the herbs of your choice (crush the fennel seeds in a mortar). Cover, let the herbs steep for 30 minutes and strain through a cheesecloth or coffee filter. Refrigerate to cool, preferably until really cold.

👉 Use: either you can just splash your eyes with your brew, or lightly moisten your open eyes. Your choice depending on what you like.

🧿 Calm down bags and swollen skin
Lie on the couch with thin slices of cucumber or raw potato slices on your eyes, or try cold tea on cotton balls of rose, lavender or elderflower.

🧿 And it's one of my favorites! Heavenly eye balm , developed in 2007!
Think, 16.5 years ago! Back then, Ylva was a baby and woke me up every night, and it was noticeable with swollen, tired and slightly irritated eyes! And a bit strange, really, but we were constantly going on camping trips at that time, usually in the rain. Hehe, perfect recipe for getting really swollen eyes! 😅 It's crazy how I get over damp nights in a tent, my eyes just scream at me that this wasn't such a good idea, haha 😂 Gradually, things got a bit messy in the relationship with what became my ex (and good friend Erik), and long nights of crying and bickering and sad things 😔 By the way, THAT was the ultimate and most perfect recipe for swollen eyes, damp tents are now in second place, haha. But, not so crazy that it wasn't good for anything! The need for eye balm exploded and I got into a creative mood! 🦸‍♀️

eye balm

The goal and motive of the Augebalsamen was an eye ointment that prevented and removed puffy eyes, and I must say that it worked! 🙌 A lot of research on various plants was what was needed to find the key to smaller bags and finer eyes in the morning and throughout the day and life. In any case, throughout all these years, people around the country have generously shared experiences that Eye balm (in my 💚) not only works on bags and swollen eyes, but SO much more.

Customers tell about good results on dry, sore and intolerant skin around the eyes. Eczema, watery eyes, lines, wrinkles, pigment spots, redness of the skin , and it gets SO hot that many people who can't tolerate much on their skin say, "Finally, something I can tolerate!" 💫 I use Eye balm both as an eye cream and 🌜night cream (alternating between it and Sea buckthorn and nettle ) and the skin seems to look both younger and more resilient. Is it any wonder I love it?

Just today, in fact, I received this feedback via email from Aud-Inger: Eye balm smoothes fine lines of dryness and reduces puffiness around the eyes.

Vossabia is all about holistic health, awareness and closeness to nature 🌱 and my skin products are therefore completely free of water and preservatives - here it is raw materials from bees 🐝 and carefully selected herbs that provide good care and fast results. I just love feeling the pure nature on my skin and most of all it gives me peace and security to know that I only add nourishing things to my skin and body from plants and the magical world of bees 🥰💚

So too with the Eye Balm . And it wasn't just swollen eyes that I found good plants for ( sunflower or arnica 🌼 as many know it). Pomegranate also excelled! After reading new research about the fantastic pomegranate in 2007, there was no doubt that it should be included in the eye balm recipe! Documented effect against lines and wrinkles due to the high antioxidant level, I read, and thus straight into the recipe with pomegranate! And I'm quite proud that I saw that Weleda (which I look up to as biodynamic skin care for many years), used pomegranate for the same reason, after Vossabia 😉 A little bragging, because I think it's funny 😂

And then 💧 SQUALAN then! Remember I mentioned the amazing nourishing plant ingredient that comes from olives, and which I also use in Cold cream? Well, I had to have it in Eye balm also, when that oil is so gentle, so softening, protective and nurturing! And then the skin quickly absorbs this moisturizing oil. Squalane is great for many types of skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, age spots and much more, and it makes the product so incredibly smooth and delicious to spread on. I love squalane! And I love Eye balm spring! 😍

💡 TIPS
Many people experience soreness and irritation around their eyes from makeup removers. But have you tried Vossabia's product as a makeup remover? It's a brilliant little extra use. Eye balm is perfect for that, same with Chamomile balm and Calendula Balm .

👉 Apply a little to a cotton ball and remove makeup while nourishing your delicate skin.

Also great for removing children's/clown makeup! 🤡

As soon as I finish writing, I have to sprint off to swimming practice 🏊‍♀️, where I coach these talented competitive girls who train in chlorine every day with tight swimming goggles. And it reminds me how happy they are for our Augebalsam too!
