Rosemary for hair

Rosemary for hair

– finally discovered and become a trend!

Here in the yard, the aromatic shrub rosemary has been important, in and "trendy" for a long time😆 It has been a regular ingredient in Panterbalsam for 19 years (panterbalsam in my heart!), and for a long time I have had plans for a hair product with rosemary. And I finally realized that plan this fall, just in time for "everyone" to discover how fantastic rosemary is for hair and scalp. And we love our 🧡Rosemary hair serum!
We use it as a scalp treatment (and, if you want nice hair: start with the scalp, that's where the roots are and the start of healthy, thick hair), and we use it on hair and ends. But anyway, rosemary has taken off with TikTokers cheering:

🙌 Rosemary for hair growth
🙌 Rosemary against hair loss
🙌 Rosemary for fuller and healthier hair
🙌 Rosemary for itchy scalp and dandruff
🙌 Rosemary for increased blood circulation
🙌 Rosemary for more shine and glossy hair

Can all this really be true? Many people get skeptical, including me, when something takes off on TikTok, like rosemary for hair growth has done now. But, finally something that trends and goes completely viral that I can nod and clap my hands for 😉

Because rosemary IS FANTASTIC, I mean really great. 🌱🧡
And there have been several studies over the past few years that show good effects for both hair growth, hair loss and scalp problems (and many other things like memory and concentration..) So what is this about, what is the deal with rosemary?

There are many causes of hair loss, including hormonal, genetic causes, infections, stress, age-related, reactions in the immune system.
The most common causes are hormonal, specifically the type of hair loss that occurs when a byproduct of testosterone called DHT (dihydrotestosterone) shrinks and reduces hair follicles. Studies from 2013 and 2015, among others, showed that rosemary oil massaged into the scalp over time can help block the hormone DHT, which is the most common cause of hair loss in men, but it also affects women.
Rosemary oil also stimulates blood circulation and thus improves the conditions for hair growth. Dandruff and dry scalp can also improve with rosemary due to the increased blood circulation combined with the fact that rosemary is antifungal, antibacterial and a good antioxidant. So here there is benefit upon benefit in using this invigorating plant!

The picture of rosemary from North Cyprus, when Emil, Ylva and I were there last year. There were hedges of rosemary everywhere, and the lovely aroma followed us on the road! On the right: Ylva tests Rosemary Hair Serum ⭐️

But, it's not like anything works like a miracle, so you can't expect increased hair growth in a week or two. The studies showed that it usually took from 3 to 6 months, so here it's important to get into the habit of massaging your scalp with fantastic rosemary oil, or a home alternative is to make your own rosemary water and rinse your hair with it after washing. I find the easiest thing to do is to take a few pumps of our hair oil on your scalp at bedtime, massage it in, sleep with it and wash it out during the day. Heidi, my sister, and I talked about it over the weekend, and enthusiastically agreed that it has also given us more shine and softer and more beautiful hair. We massage our scalp, but also rub the oil into our hair so it shines well 😊

I lost some hair after my last birth and maternity leave, and much of the fullness is back, but not like before.. BUT NOW! With patience I massage my scalp and stimulate my hair follicles, so I imagine them smiling and moving and waking up again, so at the next count I aim for a much higher number of hairs 😊
