The sunflower is blooming!!! 🌼 And it goes right into our amazing Eye Balm!

17 years ago I worked intensely on a recipe for what I wanted to be an eye balm that met all my needs: no more puffy, tired eyes, and fresh and tight skin around the eyes so I looked more awake than I often was 😉 And of course it had to care for and provide maximum nourishment with good essential fatty acids and vitamins and minerals. After much herbal study, Solblom had to be included! Or Arnica as many know it as 🌼💛 That beauty of a flower can reduce bags and puffy eyes!
I grow sunflowers to be able to process and make from my own plants, but also to help keep the plant alive in Norway! Before, Solblom was found in many places as a wild plant in this country. Now it is almost extinct 😔 and only a little can be found in the fantastic flora at Bømlo and Karmøy, and maybe a few other places. My suggestion is therefore to buy organic arnica seeds from solhatt.no and cultivate it inside, and then plant it in your garden too! Don't eat or drink it (can be poisonous internally), but enjoy it and possibly make oil from it!

👁️ In Augebalsam, the arnica flower is an important ingredient, and now this year's harvest of self-produced arnica is underway, 🌼 look how nice they are!
Arnica is the miracle plant that reduces puffy, puffy eyes, and if you make or buy arnica oil, it can be used to treat ailments related to swelling, bruises, and much more 🙌

When I developed Augebalsam in 2007, I struggled with swollen eyes due to lack of sleep as a heavily pregnant woman 🤰 then Ylva was born, and it took a couple more years to gain weight at night 😅😴. The goal and motive with Augebalsam was then an eye ointment that prevented and removed swollen eyes, and I must say that it worked! 🤩 Never again swollen eyes on this lady after 2007! Not even when I had Jonatan 6 days before I turned 45, and now I have had 5 years of being woken up like that every night by this good boy.

Wow, it's been 5 years between these photos!

I put together the eye balm like all other products at Vossabia: 🔍 careful studies of herbs and their health properties and nutritional composition, and then combining the plants I wanted to benefit from for different needs. 👀 Swollen eyes was just one of the goals of the eye balm, and it turned out that there were many other things it also worked on for people around the country. And it's no wonder with the exclusive combination of nutrients and high-quality organic plant oils such as pomegranate oil, together with the (love love) protective and moisturizing beeswax 🐝

😍 I love that customers use our natural products with creativity and imagination, because that's what herbs inspire 💚 a variety of uses can be covered. And that's how it is with Eye balm and.

👉 For 17 years, many have reported good results on dry, sore, red and intolerant skin around the eyes, in addition to eczema, burning and watery eyes. Reduced lines, wrinkles, and pigment spots both on the face and elsewhere are also much applauded with Augebalsam, and we had an exciting experiment here when a friend from Egypt lived here for 3 weeks and used Augebalsam on lines between her breasts. They disappeared and were smoothed out during the time she was here, so she was a satisfied woman who went back home to Cairo.
But what warms me most is when many people who can't tolerate so much say, "Finally, something I can tolerate on my skin!" 💫

I use the Eye Balm both as an eye cream and 🌜 night cream (alternating between it and Sea Buckthorn and Nettle ) and my skin seems younger and more supple. And since 2007 it has been brilliant as a makeup remover 🤯! The same goes for Calendula Balm and Chamomile Balm . And it's wonderful when others discover the same thing:

🧡 Vossabia is about holistic health, awareness and closeness to nature 🌱 - here there are raw materials from bees 🐝 and carefully selected herbs that provide good care and fast results ✨ I just love feeling the pure nature on my skin and most of all it gives me peace and security to know that I only add nourishing things from plants and the magical world of bees to my skin and body 🥰💚

So too with Eye balm 👁️ And it wasn't just swollen eyes that I found good plants for (sunflower). Pomegranate also excelled! After reading new research about the amazing pomegranate in 2007, there was no doubt that it should be included in the eye balm recipe! Documented effect against lines and wrinkles due to the high antioxidant level , and thus right into the recipe with pomegranate ❤️!

🌱 Hemp makes Augebalsam green. It has lovely organic hemp in it, and hemp seed oil is fantastic for dry skin. Get more vitality to your skin with hemp, and then it nourishes tight or dry skin and prevents flaking and itching. One of the best things about hemp is that the plant contributes anti-inflammatory properties. Some studies on hemp oil show that molecules and chemicals in hemp oil can be beneficial for conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne scars, dry skin, wrinkles, and it strengthens the skin's natural barrier 🤩 A truly exciting plant, which Vossabia has been using for 20 years now! Because you can find this super plant in Chamomile Balsam too, developed in 2004!

💧 And then SQUALANE! The amazing nourishing plant ingredient that comes from olives, and which I also use in Cold Cream. Well, I had to have it in Eye Balm too, because that oil is so mild, so softening, protective and nourishing! And then the skin quickly absorbs this moisturizing oil. Squalane is great for many types of skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, age spots and much more, and then it makes the product so incredibly smooth and delicious to spread on ✨ I love squalane! And I love our Eye Balm ! 😍
