We are standing headlong in the meadows to bring in this year's plants!
🌱🌾🌿 I love the plant diversity here, and I love picking wild plants and growing organic flowers! And then I love our customers! And that's why I have to come up with a reason: since there is so much picking and time in the meadow for all of us here at Vossabia right now, we are unfortunately a little behind with customer service 😓 I'm so sorry that some people experience that it takes several days from when they have placed an order until it is packed. We are working outside and inside, everything we can, and there is a really skilled team I have with me, who are super efficient and quality-conscious. So please be patient with us during this intense time 🙏
👩🌾 We pick day and night, and the plants go straight from the meadow to the farm, and becomesuper shampoothe next day. Like last night when I picked horsetail from a meadow where there had never been any before 🤩 (hurray, it's spreading!!). And then we put a lot of plants in alcohol so that after a month it turns into a really good and effective tincture, which we then have in super body products, which are then packaged directly after production, often while they're still warm!
Now is the time to secure raw materials for the whole of next year! 🏃♀️🏃🏼♂️🏃 We pick as soon as there is shelter and sun, we have to make lots and lots of tinctures from many different plants, we dry plants in every room in every house on the farm, and we refine this green gold into the healthiest thing you can smear your skin with! And that is exactly the main motivation always! Imagine that I, and we here, get to create natural products that strengthen and balance skin and body inside and out around the country 🥰 Thank you!!
It's so big! And my vision and goal is that the products give you healthy things for your body and skin, but also that I can perhaps reach there with a little knowledge and commitment about plants and bees, and ecology and diversity too 💚🐝🌱 That makes the products bigger than themselves, and that's my main goal!
For more than 20 years, I have spent an enormous amount of time increasing my own knowledge and communicating it, and putting it into practical production to pass on nature to as many people as possible.
I was lying there in the meadow enjoying the plants before and 😉 Here 10 years ago.
Here, everything is thoroughly thought out and quality-checked 🔎 from the idea and need for a product, knowledge of relevant herbs, to what plants we pick, when and how we pick them, how they are dried and handled, to how recipes and recipes have been developed 20 years ago and onwards, to the way the production, temperature, pouring and everything is done by hand, until you finally sit with the product in your hand and can feel the difference it makes to smear yourself with super-effective, 100% natural and nutritionally well-composed "meal" for your skin ✨ Because it makes a difference, and I really hope you know and feel it! 🤗💚
👩💻 Now I'm writing at full speed, because Ylva will be here soon, who will be with me to pick newly sprouted St. John's wort and yarrow that I discovered today!! 🤩

And we have to bring as much delicious red clover as possible too. We have to look for these a bit, as it's still a bit early. But, they are here and there! It's like going on a treasure hunt, and the thrill and joy of seeing the first plants of a species ready for harvest, feeling them, smelling them and maybe tasting them (red clover is so sweet and delicious), it's so great!! 😍
All of these will be dried and made into tinctures, and maybe some plant oil too. 💡 I have some exciting ideas for the future with St. John's wort! Did you know that it is called "the green pill of happiness"? 🤔

🩷 I'm looking all pink at the moment! Delicious, delicious roses! 🌸 It's a favorite that I love to pick and use. ❁ The meadowsweet has also come a long way now, and it needs to be harvested now before it is in full bloom. And I haven't had time to launch it yet in the yarrow and meadowsweet mask I developed a couple of years ago. Soon!!
And this is something we do besides producing and packing for a living, because there is no couch-sitting on this farm, hehe 🤭 And then there is the beekeeping, which Erik is fortunately the boss of, since I have to have an ambulance constantly when I get stung 😅 He manages the bees well, in an organic and gentle way. At the moment he is raising new queens, in fact. On my plant check-up on the farm earlier today it was a bit cold and there were few bees out 🐝 but on nice days there are thousands upon thousands of workers who pollinate, take care of our diversity, feed the bee colonies and make fantastic health-giving raw materials for both bees and people! 💛
