Last week Heidi and I were in Lofoten on a magical trip that combined an amazing sea eagle safari, wonderful yoga at Trevarefabrikken (WOW!! Check out @trevareyoga and @trevarefabrikken ) with a mountain hike, collecting seaweed and kelp with the incredibly talented Odd Arne in Lofotens Ville Kjøkken , wonderful shops and cafes in Henningsvær (I went a little crazy in the nicest interior design shop I've ever seen: Mors Hus!!) and killer whales who wanted to show off right outside the window while we did yoga. And not only that: I also had a super nice meeting with the blues artist BIRRI , who was recently nominated for the Spellemannprisen. And all the while with Bringebærlepper on! 🤩
Brita in BIRRI is a wonderful and talented woman, and she got a pre-premiere at Raspberry lips in addition to replenishing Sea buckthorn and nettle 🧡 and Lips ❤️. And once she put on Raspberry Lips, she just shone even more, so much so that my yogi friend Ibrahim immediately exclaimed: Wow, so beautiful! 😍
BIRRI is simply a must listen to 🎧 I noticed her on the way home from the Garden Fair (thanks to everyone who came to shop and talk to us! 💚). I saw she had tagged Vossabia and 🤎 Konglelepper that she used during the Spellemannsprisen, and so we had to check her out and listened to her in the car on the way home 🚙 All three of us in the car were immediately captivated and sat and loved the beautiful, unique voice and the atmosphere she created.
🎼 BIRRI is both an artist and songwriter in rock, blues and Americana, and I understand that she was nominated for the Spellemann award for her latest album, "For All Those in Mourning", which is a concept album that explores different stages of the grieving process ❤️🩹 And then there's the exciting thing about her contrasting sources of inspiration - 70s rock and the nature of Lofoten and Nordmøre where she comes from 🎸🏔️

Heidi and I had some absolutely amazing days in Lofoten, as you can see! 😁 Meeting people, the sea, the mountains, the places, the food, cool shops and businesses run by talented and enterprising people who create atmosphere and charm... gifts for body and soul galore! ✨ I couldn't help but shop at both of these unique shops, and it was especially fun to dress in the most beautiful knitted sweater that the owner of the shop had designed and knitted herself! 🧶 Check out how beautiful the sweater is and how perfect it is for Raspberry lips . In the nice interior design store Mors Hus in Henningsvær, they commented on the sweater as soon as I walked in for the first time. Good thing it's still a bit cold in the mornings and evenings so I have a reason to wear it myself now that the heat is coming more and more 😆 And the sweater dresses up the new pans I feel so lucky to have found exclusively at Mors Hus! Heidi thought I was a bit crazy buying pans in Lofoten 🤪 but I couldn't resist! And when it turned out that the owners were well acquainted with Vossabia products well, I was just even more charmed 😉

The retreat we were on was called Back to Nature, and it was really fitting. We got so incredibly close to everything. Into ourselves and our own inner nature and power 🌿 The outer, violent nature with mountain peaks, unpredictable weather, wild animals and birds. And not least all the learning that Det Ville Kjøkken served us about many types of seaweed and kelp that we tasted raw and prepared in different ways, and which opened up a new exciting world for me. So grateful! 🙏
And now I'm sitting on one of Karmøy's beautiful beaches and writing a newsletter about the magical experiences in Lofoten ✍️⛱️ What a contrast! I was invited here by Sør Karmøy Husflidlag and had a great evening with a packed house last night, when I gave a lecture for them. And of course I had to go down to the beach today and check out the beach heritage that I'm munching on here. It's nice to wander around and taste the "cucumber" Strandarve that has just peeked up from the sand, and at the same time check out how far the ladyfish has come here.
The contrasts in nature here in the south and there in the north are striking – but both places have given me a strong boost of goodness 🤗 The same did the meeting with the nice people I got to give a lecture to in Skudeneshavn last night 💛
I am left with a deep sense of approval after this journey – and with great joy at being able to share both experiences, inspiration and, last but not least, Raspberry lips with you! 💋🍓 There is something very special about being close to nature – both at home, out in our beautiful country and in what we apply to our skin and lips.
