Today I want to encourage variety and diversity – under your arms! Vary the deodorants and scents you use! At least I do, and it's so refreshing and nice, because it's not like one scent fits all? Or is it? 😉 Before I switched to natural deodorant, I used a regular deodorant, every day all year round, for years! Well, it's strange that I didn't get tired of it, but I guess those around me did 😉 Now I change according to MOOD😁 according to ACTIVITY 🥾, according to OCCASION 💃, according to EMOTION 🤠, and according to IMPULSE 🐝, several times a week.
Everyday life with hustle and bustle, partying and flirting, or training, or a walk in the forest with friends, or hard physical work, or a long train ride, or on the beach in warmer climates? Completely different occasions can be marked with fragrance, and that's what I do now😊 I love it! And it's so easy and so fun, WITH MINIDEO's !
So I've put together a pack of 4 types , which I think are suitable for a little bit of everything, 💫🌼 which lift your mood and energy, which seduce, which make you grounded and ready, and which are suitable when you want to be a little discreet. And which all keep you dry and fresh, and keep bad odors away with antimicrobial ingredients 👍
Say HELLO to my gang - my GO TO deodorants, which are great to have in your bag, when traveling, at the gym, or which can also be used as a permanent fixture in the bathroom:
🍋 CITRUS - my trusty everyday deodorant! Lemon and lemongrass are in the top league for deodorants because they give such a fresh and uplifting scent, and the citrus scent improves mood according to various studies. And: bactericidal, cleansing, helps with skin irritations and itching under the arms. 👍So great with lemon in deodorant for both your mood and your armpits!
Citrus mini deodorant to carry in your pocket and on the go during everyday life.
🌲 FOREST - with juniper. This one is quite discreet. Great when you don't want to smell too much, but just a hint of fresh forest that grounds and balances you and your emotions. The scent has a hint of pine in it: a little spicy, a little bitter, definitely fresh, and aromatic and a scent that has had a good time in modern botanical perfumes for both sexes. 💚This superb forest shrub is great in deo: cleansing, antiseptic and antimicrobial, and supports the body's detoxification, and I like that!
🌿🌸 TEA and SAGE - with lavender peeking out from inside. This one! At first it scared me a little with its peppery cheekiness, but now I absolutely love it💖 For me: when I'm stressed out, working hard, in a lot of activity, and those mornings when I need to feel strong and powerful.
Thyme is perfect for underarms: antibacterial, with antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties that eliminate odor-causing bacteria. Thyme cleanses and strengthens the skin, and helps with itching and dryness.
Sage increases well-being, stimulates and can make you clearer mentally. The Romans called sage “The Holy Herb”, and I understand that! Quite masculine, but also brings out pepper and freshness, and behind that a hint of eucalyptus notes.. Exciting! And these two powerful spices are balanced with a calming, blooming lavender scent. Did you know that lavender is one of the best at getting rid of bad odors such as body odor?
❤️ SENSUELL - party, seduction, flirting! Ylang ylang and cardamom: yin and yang in perfect harmony!! ☯️ I find this one mysterious, deep, exotic and exciting. For me it's perfect for parties, evenings, and when I want to seduce or feel on top.
Ylang ylang - this seriously exotic, intense, rich scent - is a winner among the world's perfumers, including an essential in Chanel No. 5. This feminine scent is here in our botanical deodorant family to add a delicious dose of tropical paradise.
Cardamom - also known as “The Queen of Spices” was one of the main scents used in perfumes by the ancient Egyptians, and its spicy and truly sensual scent still seduces, 😍thousands of years after the Egyptians first used it. Cardamom is antiseptic and antimicrobial, making it great in deodorants to prevent and stop odor-causing bacteria from contaminating your armpits.
5 years since Vossabia's deo family came into the world! A little about why they were born.
In 2015 I stopped applying aluminum, parabens, alcohol and synthetic stuff under my arms. Thank goodness for that!🧡 I had thought about it for a long time, worried about all the crap we put right in the lymph nodes under our arms, but I didn't know of any other option than to not use anything (which I wasn't ready for). Then in 2015 I discovered that the super crystal stones reduce bad odor, easily and safely. But, after a while I wasn't completely satisfied with them... The most annoying thing was probably that there was no smell..
I began to crave subtle but present fragrance, I needed to not only feel fresh, but smell fresh too. So on a new trip to Cairo in early 2017 (for long periods my second home), I met a couple of talented guys who I consider my colleagues in natural skincare, and one of them had made effective, healthy and delicious deodorants to apply under the arms. I had researched this a bit before, but now I got both a kick in the butt and inspiration and extra knowledge to take home with me in my luggage.
Me and my "Egyptian colleague".
So, in the fall of 2017, 🐝Vossabia natural deodorants were in place! Then I was finally satisfied, and especially with the fact that I only apply healthy things directly to the lymph nodes under my arms, full of vitamins and minerals. But absolutely and satisfied with the effect: keeps sweat odor away, the skin breathes and nothing is blocked by scary ingredients, toxins are released, AND I smell wonderful and varied depending on what I apply 😊
Hope you enjoy and benefit from Vossabia's deodorant family too! 🌼🌸🐝
Are you wondering about natural deodorant?
Check out our little FAQ here:
Is Vossabia deodorant antiperspirant?
No, because an antiperspirant temporarily blocks sweat pores with aluminum-based content, and is therefore designed to reduce sweating. Antiperspirants always contain aluminum, as do those that are both deodorant and antiperspirant, while deodorants (which are something else) do not contain aluminum.
Why is natural deodorant better?
Simple! Because the body needs to sweat. It may sound a bit strange, but that's how it is. So instead of blocking the pores, body odor is neutralized by pores that cause sweating. It is important for releasing toxins (poisons), getting them out of the body, and sweating is important for regulating body temperature. Natural deodorants prevent odor by not allowing natural bacteria to mix with the water and sweat on your skin, which creates odor, and without disturbing the natural flora on the skin.
What is in Vossabia deodorant that reduces body odor?
Organic arrowroot helps to absorb moisture, reduce odor, and make you feel dry and fresh. And then there's the vitamin B and potassium in arrowroot, among other things. Vossabia also uses an organic baking powder to neutralize body odor, with organic cornstarch and a small amount of baking soda. This is a very conscious choice, as many people react to pure baking soda (which is often found in natural deodorants). So it's not without reason that many say: finally a natural deodorant I can tolerate. In addition to arrowroot and baking soda, the essential oils are also active in combating bad odors.
What other ingredients are in Vossabia deodorant?
As always, beeswax, our number 1 protective and emollient. And then fantastic organic shea butter, cocoa butter (organic AND fair trade), coconut and lovely jojoba oil. And then the wonderful scents, which also help to keep bad odors away with their antimicrobial properties. So here are only healthy plants together with the beeswax, so you get nutrition through the plants' vitamins and minerals and oils, to your armpits.
Can I just switch straight to natural deodorant after always using chemical deodorants/antiperspirants?
Yes! But, give your body time to get used to the changes, so a little patience may be helpful for some. It can take several weeks for your body to adjust to the new natural routine in your armpits, for some a short time and for others a little longer. During this period, you may experience a stronger sweat odor, but be patient, because this indicates that your body is getting rid of the accumulation of aluminum and other “shit” in the previously blocked, now freed pores.
Will natural deodorant stain clothes?
Less is more, that's the main rule. Plus: apply deodorant after you've put on clothes, so it doesn't get smeared all over. So of course, you can get grease stains on clothes if you put on too much. But, natural plant oils can be removed, whether it's natural deodorant, sunscreen, olive oil, or other organic grease stains. I have great luck wetting the stain, then rub or brush it in with baking soda (yes, baking soda is brilliant here), let it sit for a while, and wash as usual. If that wasn't enough (it always has been here), a 50% vinegar and 50% water mixture can be great! With a small amount (a pea) and preferably applied after the sweater has been put on, it's very rare to get a stain on clothes in this house.
In addition to the 4 in the pack, we also have one without scent:
