The skin and body become so supple and soft, it cleanses perfectly, smells heavenly and increases circulation and tones the skin and is just fantastic for the hair too! 😌 The pH value of both The Forest on the Body and Shampoo with wild herbs is perfect by the way: 5.5 ! It's impossible not to love it, now that I think about it, hehe 🧡
So I had to change all my plans for the day, and off to the mountains it went! 🏔
🎿 With skis, poles, and a backpack in the car, I drove far up into valleys and mountains, bumping my way for kilometers on a very narrow road wrapped in huge ice floes. 
Passed cabins and barns before I parked in deep snow and could only cross my fingers that I would get free afterwards ⛄️
The ski trip started in light rain, but it was just wonderful to walk and feel the peace of the forest descend upon me. I scanned the forest and looked for junipers and other exciting things, and it wasn't many meters before I found another treasure! 🤩
Nasty! Or strylav in Norwegian. A fabulous natural antibiotic, great for respiratory ailments among other things. It's perfect to pick this from old birch trees now in the winter, if you can get your hands on it! It typically grows a bit high in the tree, so you have to work for the superpower! 💪
I recommend looking for strylav, doing the strylav test and picking some to take home. Stuff it into a glass jar, pour in about 40% alcohol and let it sit for a month. Then just strain and you have this super thing for your home pharmacy!! ⛑
👉 The moss test: Take a small moss ball, find one of the soft threads, hold it between two fingers with both hands so that you can gently pull the thread apart. If a white string appears inside the light green moss thread, then it's moss!
My little side trip to check for strylaven had to get back on the juniper trail. But, of course, I was distracted by the extremely beautiful forest 😍 and not least the art that winter creates! Patterns and waves in the snow, surrounded by beautiful forest and only me who had walked there that day. Magical! 💫
After half an hour without seeing a single juniper bush, I got very hot as I walked away in deep wet snow 🥵, turning my head from side to side. It looked hopeless, with well over a meter of snow. Could it be that the juniper bushes were covered in a thick blanket of snow? Probably! But, I couldn't give up! People have to say forest soap, it is despite everything in the world best body soap, and of course I have to work extra hard to get it out to the people! 🦸♀️🔎 With new courage and determination back, I glimpsed some bushes I recognized! The top of a juniper, mostly buried by snow!
Yes! Here I am on the trail, I thought! Should I dig? Or should I keep going? 🤔 I chose the latter, and after another kilometer I saw a large and beautiful juniper bush in the forest, protected by tall pine trees, that was not covered in snow!! Cheers and joy!! 🥳
By this time, light rain had turned into heavy snow! 🌨 The downpour then snowed, pouring down heavy flakes. I put down my poles, and asked the juniper nicely if it would share its goods with me 🙏 I interpreted a clear yes, and filled the bag with this forest treasure that will soon magically transform into The forest on the body! ✨
The return trip was a bad one but in good spirits! Funny heavy snow, soaking wet bubble jacket (up to the skin), but a warm forest cat on my back! ⛷ At a fast pace, I almost went over the edge, as the snow reached new heights, and in the end I couldn't see anything!
🚙 Once back in the car I had to laugh at how soaking wet I looked! It looked like I had a milk leak!
But, the only thing that's bursting at the seams here now is the urge to boil the juniper bushes! Long and well! Because that's how I get the holy substances that make it so delicious! 💚🧡 It turns from green to orange, and the scents that spread are absolutely heavenly. No doubt that this bush is good in many ways. I plan to get even more good products out of this forest treasure, so just stay tuned , because soon I'll come up with a surprise that I hope you'll love! 😉
