Protect your skin in the freezing cold! ❄️

Protect your skin in the freezing cold! ❄️

Happy New Year in freezing cold and strong winds! 🥶💨 At least that's how it is here! It's really wild outside. The amazing 45 cm of loose snow has now turned into mountains of snowdrifts, and our neighbors' slopes have turned green as all the snow has flown with the wind to our yard! ❄️ Great fun making snow holes and screaming on mats and sleds! But, NOT WITHOUT THE ICE CREAM ! 💙

Our faces are torn and stinging from the snow that is whipped at us, and the wind that makes the cold even colder.💨 But, our 16-year-old friend, the Cold Cream, knows exactly how to protect us! With beeswax, lanolin and squalane from olives, among other things, we are taken care of when nature ravages us.

Did you know that we even tested it out in Stadhavet in the wild weather of January a few years ago? 🌊 A friend and I were surfing in Hoddevika 🏄‍♂️ and I guarantee cold sea, snow in the air and a lot of wind. 🌬 We were of course well covered with a wetsuit, gloves, hood and shoes, but our faces were unprotected and we got hit by the violent waves and whipping sea. After the first day, my friend didn't look good. A little rude, but her face was red and weird, like a raw pork chop. Ugh, that's bad, but that's how it was 😅😂 I suggested applying the Cold Cream the next day, before playing in the waves, and it did the trick! We were in the sea and she was just as wonderful as she usually is on a hot summer day afterwards. Red and fresh in the cheeks, and she was glowing with joy from the waves and protected her skin well! That must be the ultimate test of the product! 👏

So what makes this Cold Cream so magical? 💙

It is, of course, the very protective beeswax, and especially in combination with lanolin, which is nature's miracle cure for withstanding extreme weather such as a lot of cold and wind, heat and moisture.
Otherwise, there is a secret! Squalane! This star ingredient simply must be present in products meant for winter and cold winds. It is a star for many reasons actually, and you will learn some of them here, and then more exciting things will come about it later, when we use squalane in more products for GOOD reason 😉

For those of you on TikTok: the hashtag #squalane currently has a whopping 49 million views! Skincare enthusiasts, dermatologists, and others are obsessed with squalane, and I get it. I’m a little obsessed too, hehe. 🥰😅

The squalane we use comes from olives 🍈 (but it can also be synthetic, and of course Vossabia would never use that 🙅‍♀️). Squalane has many benefits, including that this plant ingredient helps preserve and care for your skin's own natural moisture balance on the inside of your skin. So it's great for dry skin, but also for oily skin and acne-prone skin due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

So back to winter skin: Squalane, like beeswax 🐝 and lanolin, creates a breathable skin barrier that can reduce moisture loss in the skin and maintain the skin's natural softness and moisture level. Squalane also protects against extreme elements, including extreme cold. ❄️

So with these fabulous, and of course carefully selected ingredients, you can expect a cold cream from Vossabia (created in 2007) that protects, nourishes and heals your skin, and that contributes to healthy, soft and supple skin, and maybe even fills in some of the fine lines in the skin 🤩

👉 Vossabia cold cream is perfect for these cold days we are in the middle of now, and many people actually use it as a day cream at this time, or for winter eczema and dry hands (the latter I do all the time!). The cold cream also has natural sun protection (factor 8), which makes it perfect for late winter when the sun starts to get stronger again.

👉 And, our lip balms have to be mentioned now in the winter! They are fantastic in this cold season, and keep your lips soft and protected in the harsh winter weather!

👉 Check out our Winter and Autumn Package , which is made up of products that we believe are indispensable at this time.

So, out into the wind and sledding again! 🏂 It's so much fun speeding and slicing down the white slopes, as if a few months were green and we were wearing shorts and picking nettles and red clover.

Enjoy the cold and windy days, it's quite fun and have fun too!

Warm regards,
Renate, Queen Bee 🐝 in Vossabia
