The power of wild rose - for skin and health! 🌸💗

Wild rose🌸 is one of the best ingredients in skincare around the world. The beautiful, romantic and deliciously fragrant flower increases the skin's vitality and gives glow with its powerful combination of nutrients and properties. No wonder rose was Queen Cleopatra's favorite for skin and beauty! 👸🏽 Of course, I'm sure she would have loved our super good facial scrub too 🤩😂 And now that the roses are finally ready for harvest, the Rose and Red Clover Scrub is back in the online store from just NO 🎉💗 after several months without roses to make it from.
Rose is the favorite to pick!💘 And with sun and lots of warmth, it opened up in all its elegance and aesthetic splendor, spreading joy in the process!😁 Not only because it actually helps with mood, according to studies, but because it is pure pleasure to pick, and adds SO MUCH nourishment to our popular facial scrub . No wonder rose is in demand around the world for its skincare properties!  🌸

I found a new absolutely perfect place with the finest Rosa Rugosa this weekend, and was completely ecstatic 🤩 And finally I had the rose picking experience again! The seductive rose aroma that rises just by standing near the roses, not to mention when I touch them!! It is an almost sensual sensory experience to pick and feel these rich, soft rose petals that let go of their stem when I gently pull them with me. I am completely blissful! 🐝Bees, bumblebees and Vossabia herself work side by side with the roses during the short time they bloom. But, if a rose is "busy" with bumblebees collecting nectar and pollen, then of course I move on to the next one. We cooperate, but not compete 👩‍🌾🐝
But, it's not just for color, aesthetics and aroma that I include rose in my products! When you scrub, you get the most delicious botanical exfoliation, but what you may not notice is that roses have a wealth of health properties that have been praised for thousands of years. In the Middle East, this amazing Rosa Rugosa (or Wrinkle Rose as many call it) has been used for ages for skin care and medicine (no wonder Cleopatra was an avid rose user), and also in South America and Asia ㊗️. So what exactly does this beauty do for the skin:

🌸Full of antioxidants – including vitamin C and other vitamins, which can help neutralize the skin when it is exposed to free radicals and pollution. Antioxidants also help strengthen skin cells, which in turn can help regenerate skin tissue. (That's one of the reasons why there is rose oil in Sea Buckthorn and Nettle Regenerating Night Cream).

🌸Retains the natural moisture in the skin (great for mature and dry skin) and rose can have an astringent effect on the skin and reduce pore visibility.

🌸Rose against wrinkles 😅 Yes, actually. And it's as simple as it's about nutritional content and composition. We need vitamins C and A and good antioxidants to keep our skin (and the rest of our wonderful organism) young and strong, and there's plenty of that in roses.

🌸Anti-inflammatory properties allow the romantic rose to calm the skin and reduce redness. Rose is especially good for oily/greasy skin and skin that is prone to pimples/acne. The combination of antioxidants and essential fatty acids means you can also benefit from roses for eczema and skin infections.

🌸Roses can also help maintain the skin's natural pH balance. Pollution, environmental toxins, sun rays – all of these contribute to breaking down the skin's pH balance, but amazingly, the pH of roses is almost identical to that of our skin, making roses perfect for adding moisture and anti-inflammatory properties without disrupting the pH balance.

Little sister - Rose scrub's biggest fan

My youngest sister, Kine, has tried most of the cosmetic brands and tried countless expensive products. So when she sent me this message, I knew that the scrub was great: "You know, Renate, the Rose Scrub is magical. The natural scrub on the skin gives you a feeling of purity and glow afterwards. I love it and use it twice a week."

Kine is a nature-loving woman who loves being outside in the fantastic nature of Western Norway. She doesn't hesitate to jump into icy rivers, and she's also a great yoga instructor with her own company in Bergen/Sotra: it's called iBalanse. People notice the difference when they've been with Kine, because she sees each and every one of them, fully and completely 💗 She massages clients' necks after yoga classes with Panterbalsam , gives scalp massages with Rosemary hair serum , and always gives that little, no, big extra!

So if you want to do like Kine, and treat yourself to a luxury facial scrub with hand-picked rose and red clover from Voss, you will get more glow to the skin, increased circulation and not least the possibility of more vitality in the skin with rose that provides a lot of nourishment and smells heavenly. Red clover, the companion to rose in the Rose and Red Clover Scrub, is cleansing, strengthening, and very nutritious. And I will tell you more about it in a later newsletter, because it deserves full focus on itself, hehe.

If you want to experience this talented yoga instructor and generous person, little sister Kine, she will be having a yoga retreat at Stalheim Hotel in July!
