Get in the Christmas spirit with juniper, free shipping and forest gingerbread cookies 🎄🌿

I went for a walk in the forest yesterday 🌳🌲 The cold air tore at my red cheeks, and the ground was frozen and hard. My cat Sonja followed me, and together we looked at the river that was starting to freeze a little at the edges, and I considered jumping over the river to see what the juniper was like there 👀 But slippery rocks put a stop to that, and I instead broke some spruce branches and found that I should try out and make Forest Gingerbread for the kids 🍪 So then I thought: I have to share that recipe with you, AND it would have been nice to offer FREE SHIPPING 🚚 a few days now when people want to shop for Christmas. SO there you have it, recipe down here and FREE SHIPPING a few days between 4.12-8.12.

🥾 I've been on a couple of hikes in the forest and up to the farm last week, and then I always get room to reflect, to observe and to be creative. And there on the path I always encounter this wonder bush. The bush from the Christmas season 🎄 The juniper bush that has so many health properties and has been used in countless ways throughout cultural history, all over the world. And the only conifer that grows wild and naturally throughout the entire northern hemisphere. I'm talking about juniper of course! 💚 Or spruce, as we say here. And speaking of creativity: now I have new, exciting plans with juniper!! 💡🤩 So there's nothing to be happy about!
Juniper is central to a number of products here, of course, because it's so awesome! ✨ And the product with the most and most unadulterated juniper is The forest on the body. Many have discovered this probably the world's best body soap 😉 (which is also great for hair), and that requires many walks in the forest! So now I meet the juniper several times a week. Yes, it's so crazy that some people think they are an Einar I meet in the forest, haha 😂 But, no, I'm just looking for a way to cook long and well and get the most out of the superfood for the Forest on my body 🫧 That's exciting too!

The juniper has a really big place in my heart 🌿💚 And it has probably had that in the hearts of many people all over the world for thousands of years! It is raw! And they had naturally learned that in ancient Egypt and Tibet, among others. The medicinal properties have been praised and used for thousands of years ❤️‍🩹 That we use juniper that grows right on the hills here, right where the hiking trail starts, goes without saying. Unrefined raw material full of medicine and health-giving power! It's perfect 🤩

One of the magic things about the bush is that it offers so many uses and associations, and affects us just by standing near it with its absolutely magical scents 😌 (think gin: fresh and invigorating scent, with hints of pine: a little sappy, a little bitter, but definitely fresh and powerful, spicy and peppery). There are quite a few baskets that have been harvested right in the forest here. And that's what I reflect on when I walk 💭 Think how fantastic it is, absolutely all products from Vossabia are produced 100% on the farm, and in addition, many raw materials are unroasted! It's quite unique! Gosh, I love it! 😍 So it is with pride, in fact, that I can show off our wonderfully delicious body soap 🫧 The forest on your body , produced with unroasted raw materials 💚

But, it's not just body soap that benefits from the magic of juniper. Fantastic juniper essential oil is an important part of other good products like Wild Herb Shampoo , Body balm , and Skog deodorant 🌿💚 So here you can actually get a complete juniper series! Yes, as you can see: I love juniper for the skin! And of course, because it is very gentle and supports the skin's natural ability to renew itself ❤️‍🩹 And then it is a piece of our home and forest, released throughout the country, as a reminder of how a rough shrub can nourish and transform and offer itself.
In all of these nourishing and effective products, juniper has been given a role for many reasons:
🌲 Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that make the shrub very beneficial for the skin. Antioxidants such as a-Pinene, b-Pinene and Sabine, for example, can act as natural healers and detoxifiers for the skin
🌲 Cleanses and tones the skin
🌲 Antibacterial and antiseptic properties, which are perfect in a body soap
🌲 Balances sebum production in the skin by reducing excess oil production, which reduces pore blockage and thus prevents acne.
🌲 Juniper is also great for preventing dandruff and giving shiny hair, so do like us and try it. The forest on both body and HAIR 🧖‍♀️
To The forest on the body We boil the juniper for over 1 hour ♨️ so it becomes a powerful juniper infusion, almost as if we were brewing beer the old-fashioned way. 😌 The scent that spreads during boiling, and which is especially evident if you stick your head into the pan after straining, onto the juniper bushes that remain there… 😍 oh my, it's like becoming one with the juniper! 😄 Hahaha, I'm getting happy and weak in the knees.
By the way, boiled juniper turns completely orange! So that's why the Forest on the body is bright orange! 🧡 Quite stylish, I think.

Decorating with juniper for Christmas has been done for generations. Wreaths were hung to ward off evil, chopped juniper was scattered on freshly swept floors, and juniper branches were hung on the outside of the house for fragrance and decoration 🌲 Making a juniper wreath can be a bit of a pain in the ass, but decorate it with bows, Christmas baubles, pine cones and a little lichen for example. It will visualize the very dream of Christmas, with the most delicious aroma as a bonus 💫
