This wonderful pink season! 💖 It's time to secure and harvest the wonderful plants for our incredibly delicious ROSE AND RED CLOVER SCRUBB!

This wonderful pink time! 💖 It's time to secure and harvest the wonderful plants for our incredibly delicious ROSE AND RED CLOVER SCRUBB! Have you tried it? Hope you love it as much as we do, it's pure pleasure, and as my sister Kine said: “I mean, I've tried so many facial scrubs from the most expensive brands, but I've never come across one as good as this one before”! Thanks Kine, I agree (even though I haven't tried as many as you have😉)

Nice weather = out and picking! ☀️🐝 Both bees, bumblebees and I can now dive into botanical delights that I just have to tell you about. Wild roses (wrinkled roses) in full bloom, with bumblebees collecting and burrowing into the yellow pollen and buzzing side by side with me. The seductive rose aroma that rises just by standing near the roses, not to mention when I touch them!! And not least the almost sensual sensory experience of picking and feeling these rich rose petals. I am completely blissful!

But, it's not just for color, aesthetics and aroma that I include rose in my products! When you scrub, you get the most delicious botanical exfoliation, but what you may not notice is that the rose has a wealth of health properties that it has been praised for (especially in China) for thousands of years:

🌸Antioxidant powerhouse. This is one of the main benefits of roses. We all know that antioxidants are good for the skin, and those found in roses are no exception. They help strengthen skin cells, which in turn can help regenerate skin tissue. Roses can be a super anti-aging plant too, as they help neutralize free radicals. (That's why rose is in Sea Buckthorn and Nettle Regenerating Night Cream ).

🌸Keep your skin hydrated! Roses are great for all skin types, because everyone needs to keep their skin's moisture in balance, but roses are especially good if you have dry skin.

🌸Rose against wrinkles 😅 Yes, actually. And it's as simple as it's about nutritional content and composition. We need vitamins C and A and good antioxidants to keep our skin (and the rest of our wonderful organism) young and strong, and there's plenty of that in roses.

🌸Roses soothe redness. This romantic flower has good anti-inflammatory properties and the combination of antioxidants and essential fatty acids means you can benefit from roses for eczema and skin infections too.

🌸Roses can also help maintain the skin's natural pH balance.

And then the red clover, which stands and struts in an enormous variety of different shades of pink. 💕🌸 There is the pale light pink little flower next to the dark pink full red clover in large plum size, and then in between the beautiful twin flowers. Two red clover flowers that have sprung up from the same stem, stand close together and reach for the sun's rays. And my bees, who work on and don't care that I provide myself with a little too. But, I always make sure that there is plenty left for bees and bumblebees, because I only take those that are perfect without a single brown petal, here only the most powerful ones are included in the basket and further into the product. I also use red clover in Body Balm , so that people can smear themselves with the good content of this super plant 😊

Red clover is the most essential plant in organic farming, the one that makes artificial fertilizers redundant as it fixes nitrogen from the air into the soil. It improves soil structure and the soil's nitrogen status. Red clover is mentioned as one of the first plants cultivated by humans to improve the quality of the soil.

🌸Red clover is well known for its properties in treating skin conditions such as eczema, rashes and psoriasis. In herbal medicine, it is specifically mentioned how well the plant can work on children's skin.

🌸Red clover increases circulation in the skin, which in turn speeds up the skin's cleansing process and helps the skin get rid of waste products that build up beneath the skin's surface.

🌸Red clover can also help keep the skin young and supple.

🌸Blood-purifying properties, a tonic and great for helping the body get rid of waste. Something that in turn helps give finer skin.

🌸Provides the body with a rich and good selection of nutrients, including iron and vitamin K.

🌸Can reduce large pores in the skin, which in turn reduces pimples and acne breakouts.

These two wonderful, these pink beauties! 💕 They are perhaps some of the most beautiful things I know, both of them! But the red clover demands more of me, where I have to bend down and pick each flower after examining it from all sides first. The rose, on the other hand, is so light and beautiful and I feel so light and happy to pick it. Upright and straight, and with my nose filled with the most delicious scents. These two pinks, these two wonders, these two ARE the rose and red clover scrub that I and many others like me just love!

Treat yourself to a luxurious facial scrub with hand-picked rose and red clover from Voss. Regular scrubbing gives the skin a glow and removes dead skin cells. Increase circulation and vitality in the skin with rose that provides a lot of nourishment and smells heavenly. Red clover is cleansing, strengthening, and very nutritious.

Recipe for rose jelly:

Red clover flowers taste sweet and are a beautiful and healthy addition to salads, and now is the time to harvest and fill your stomachs with the best of nature😍. I also put red clover on alcohol and use it in production, but also privately in our herbal pharmacy. The roses are also edible (all roses are, but make sure they are unsprayed!), and they are delicious in tea blends or have you perhaps made delicious rose jelly? I love rose and rosemary together so much, and I am now going to make a jelly with them. Maybe you want to try it too? This is how I do it:

How to do it:

Pick the flowers and enjoy the experience first 😁 Put them from the basket upwards into an approx. 2 liter container, e.g. an old Norwegian glass or something else you have. Pack the rose petals tightly and fill up so that it is tightly packed. More petals give more colour.

Pour boiling water over it, place the glass or pan in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

Strain the liquid through a cloth and place it in a saucepan. Squeeze out all the juice from the flowers.

Add sugar, lemon and boil until dissolved. Pour in ½ bag of Certo pectin and boil for 2-3 minutes. Pour the jelly into hot, sterilized jars and seal tightly. Store in the refrigerator.

Still a good summer to you!

(and remember to protect your skin☀️👇)
