12 in the hive – meet the people and your favorites! 🐝💛

Today we open the doors to the hive our 🐝 – and you get to join us right into the heart of Vossabia! Here it's all about commitment, laughter, production, packaging and not least product talk – of course everyone here loves the entire product range, but is it possible that some products are more favorite than others?
So… I thought: What actually happens if we ask the whole gang?

What makes a product a favorite?
Is it the effect? ​​The smell? What it does for the skin? Or maybe the feeling of having been part of creating something that actually helps people?

Today I want to take you behind the scenes at Vossabia, and introduce you to those who with joy and dedication stir, pour, boil shampoo, pack and process orders, label, answer phones and emails, and handle all retailer orders.
Just think, soon we will be standing in this fantastic new building and continuing to make the best products by hand. It will be incredible to have room for everything in one house, because now there are dried herbs in the barn, packaging envelopes in the garage, production in the farmhouse, marketing materials in the outbuilding and honey heather in the basement.
We call it "12 in the hive " – a small celebration of the wonderful people who make Vossabia Vossabia.
 
Each of them has picked their personal favorite, and maybe you'll discover a product you haven't tried yet, or a new use for it? Or maybe you and one of us have the same favorite?
 
Welcome to the hive – here you will get to know both the people and the magic we love to create here on the farm. 🌿💛
Miriam has been with us for a very short time, only since August, but she and her family have been enthusiastic Vossabia users for many years. She was hired as a production employee, and has now become well versed in the complexity of the product and has become an important part of the production team.
 
Miriam has been a stylist in LA and a teacher at Voss. We admire the lady and her diverse expertise and ability to spread joy, and enjoy all of her creativity on many levels.

"Kamillebalsam has become a favorite since I started working here. I've had many favorites, but now Kamillebalsam has become the family's number 1." 
 
I feel like we are wrapping ourselves in a protective blanket when we apply it. We often use it in the evening, on both children and adults. And the kids love to get Chamomile Balm on little spots that itch after days of wool, chapped lips have become softer than before, and it is so nice as a foot cream. I also use it all over my face in between, and as a lip mask.
 
It's simply our new universal ointment. And I'm touched by everyone it helps, for example my mother who has psoriasis. It has been medicinal for her, and now it has become our new universal ointment.

Linda from Laksevåg started at Vossabia after I headhunted her in North Cyprus 2 years ago. She has a huge amount of retail experience after running a pet store for 30 years, and you can tell she is a skilled and very happy salesperson when you meet her at the market. No wonder she has become marketing manager!
 
And she is a very important piece in our sales department. Not least, this ray of joy and actually a songbird is full of good stories and funny and often unexpected inventions. We must constantly listen to the Bergensangsen at full volume…

"Kongleppelper one of my favorites. I chose Kongleppelper, which I use every day. It's my favorite lip balm that has a fantastic golden color, and it makes my lips even softer. 
 
I also have a sense of pride around the product because when I started working at Vossabia, this was the color I was missing in the lip balm palette.
 
Queen Bee Renate, my good boss, listened to my wishes and made me happy when she created Kongleppper to satisfy my need.”

Helga started as a helper here this fall, and has been working a lot lately. She is incredibly energetic and skilled, a chef by profession, but is also busy renovating a mountain farm not far from here.
 
We are lucky to have this great lady on our team! She packs, labels, keeps track of things and makes sure everything goes smoothly, and always in a great mood!

"Wild herb body balm is my favorite product! It's because it has an extra silky soft feel and it can really be used anywhere. I love the feeling that all the nature that I have at home on my own farm comes into the house via the Vossabia jars and cares for my skin. 
 
"After I started working here, I see the diversity of plants on my own farm in a new way. I see more plant species and really notice fields of yarrow, for example."

"The citrus body scrub is absolutely amazing! The skin gets so much moisture and I feel like it gives love to the body. My skin gets really soft when I scrub, it's like baby skin next."
 
And it really feels like a spa, it scrubs so well! Compared to other scrubs, it has much more defined scrub grains, which I love. I don't really need Body Balm afterwards, which I use when I'm not scrubbing, but occasionally I apply Body Balm after scrubbing because the two are an unbeatable duo.

"Lemongrass hair serum is my favorite product because it makes my hair very shiny, and I notice that my hair has gotten thicker. I use it on my scalp about once a week, and I apply the hair serum in the evening and leave it on overnight. I feel like my scalp is getting healthier, and it's like medicine for my hair." 
 
I really like the smell too! Rosemary hair serums are typically the ones that get the most attention since rosemary has been trending on TikTok, but this one is just as good. I notice my hair getting healthier with this serum.”

Simon started here in the summer of 2022, and got the job because he was a competitive swimmer! As always with swimmers, they are good at most things, and that was true of Simon from Stord as well.
 
He has worked here alongside his economics studies , and contributes greatly to customer service, the packaging department and order processing, and he always has lots of good stories to tell.

"Sensual. There's only one word to say: fantastic! This one doesn't need much of an introduction." 
 
But seriously: it should be in every nightstand drawer in the world, because it makes EVERYTHING better! Sensual speaks for itself. That's just the way it is.

Christine also started volunteering 1.5 years ago, and continued full-time from the summer of 2024 when she distinguished herself as a very hardworking and structured young woman who likes to get things done.
 
She has been given a lot of responsibility for order processing, and she is a great lady to have as a production assistant. We love Christine.

"My favorite is the Rose and Red Clover Scrub! My face feels silky soft, and since I started using it, I haven't been able to live without it because my skin feels so wonderfully soft. It makes my skin so clean and it cleanses well." 
 
I usually use it in the shower, keeping the jar outside so that no water gets in. I take a little powder in my hand, a little water and stir it together until it forms a paste and scrub. It's great to do it in the shower. The scrub has the perfect consistency for the face, scrubs well but is gentle on the skin of the face.

Marius started because he is one of Emil's best friends , and I desperately needed more people. It could have gone wrong, but it was perfect! Marius is a dedicated competitor who works in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
 
He has gradually become part of the exclusive production team , and he does that job brilliantly. Please, don't go to Lillehammer to focus on cycling!

"Panther balm is my big favorite! I like to use it best for training and competition where it helps increase blood circulation and prepares the muscles for performance."
 
It smells great, and also helps with colds. I'm one of those people who is very happy that it comes in large 100 ml jars, because I'm a big consumer!

Jorunn is the first full-time employee besides myself, and was hired 4.5 years ago. She is the one you meet on the phone and by email. She is the engine and wheels of customer service , great with people and helps the hundreds who call and write to us every week.
 
In addition, she keeps track of supplies and orders for everything possible, so thank goodness for us that she has that kind of control and is such a lovely person to boot.

"The forest on the body is my favorite! It's the best shampoo I've ever used. Yes, because I actually use it as a shampoo! Juniper is perfect for my hair. The smell is magical and there are no other soaps that remove barn odor like it. Luckily, my husband uses it on his beard after barn grooming too!
 
Forest soap is of course wonderful on the body, and it's so rich that it doesn't dry out your skin. It's absolutely the favorite soap in the whole house, and the kids love making bubble bath with it in the bathtub. Intimate for me!

Daniel is also one of Emil's best friends , and was captured in my desperation for more workers. It was also a fantastic closing meeting !
 
He is now the sales manager and our O big shampoo chef ! Not just big because he is 2.04, but because he is so great at everything he does. And so educational! He has trained new employees and the sales people love him. Just like we do!

"Sea Buckthorn and Nettle! After Skogen på krobin, this is the product I use the most. I use it every day and sometimes both morning and evening, and alternate a little with Calendula in the evening. I really like the glow it gives my skin in the morning, and I feel like my skin gets what it needs for the rest of the day. In the evening, I feel like my skin is repairing itself overnight with Sea Buckthorn and Nettle on. Yes, I simply feel better when I apply it. I also use it in combination with the Rose and Red Clover scrub, and it actually feels fantastic!

Bendik is one of our newest employees. But even though he has only been here for 4 months, he has already made a big impression on us. He was hired as a production employee and has put his love for the hard work of shampoo production into practice.
 
Bendik has such a wonderful mood, actively contributes with good conversations, and is also a man of many talents . He has already made a name for himself with a wonderful animated film that you can find on Instagram. I hope you follow us there ;)

"I have come into close contact with the Shampoo! I call it my second love! I have come close to it and seen it from start to finish, from picking herbs to the finished fantastic shampoo, and it has been a special journey. Showering with it at home now is a special experience. My hair has become fuller, and it brings back fond childhood memories. When I wash my hair and close my eyes, I imagine a dense forest, a really good feeling! The whole family uses it too, of course!"

Emil grew up with Vossabia, and worked with his mother since his early teens. It started with labeling, then packaging, and now he's a great guy to have in production. He was the second person in the world (besides me) to learn how to make the shampoo! That was huge!
 
And now he's also been promoted to internal marketing manager! He keeps threatening to travel the world, but for now I can hold on to him for another year! He enjoys working with his mother of course, and he and I are a super team ! So happy for such a talented and not least funny Crown Prince!

"I have used Calendula Balm for as long as I can remember, and it has saved me from scars, wounds, acne, dry skin and is always used as an aftershave cream!
 
This is the salve I always recommend to people trying out Vossabia for the first time. This hitter truly deserves the nickname Our Little Home Pharmacy!
