🐝🌼Lift the mood!
The plan today is to shower you with tips on how to create delicious, botanical spa experiences: scrubs, hair rinses, great baths and delicious recipes for a well-deserved home spa session! Use the flowers in the garden or in the meadow, make tea to drink and tea to nourish your hair and body, mix with honey, smear yourself with flowers and honey and herbs, and just receive the fruits of the field through your mouth and skin and everything that is 🌼😂🐝
BOTANICAL HOME SPA! Yep, I promise, it cleanses, lifts and encourages as summer draws to a close. Flowers 🌸 and honey 🍯 are also great for body and soul (and skin and hair of course!) In the summer there are endless plants to choose from, I just love summer spas! But now in late summer there are still many favorites to choose from that are in full bloom, and otherwise there are some ready-made goodies in glasses and jars to use from us in Vossabia 🌸🌼.
Check out the tips below, and see if the recipes below inspire you. Just play around and mix up your favorites, but I want to share my favorites with you!
💚 Vibrant sensual citrus scrub !! Oh my, THIS one in the shower (tip: massage your partner and vice versa in the shower with this, oh my goodness 🤩).
I only take a little of the incredibly delicious citrus scrub off my hand after the water has just run over me, then I just massage it onto my body. Sometimes I just take my tired legs and calves, other times my arms, chest and butt, and then it's nice to take the time to scrub my whole body every now and then. It's so good to smell the delicious, fresh scents, and feel how the blood circulation increases and it tingles in my skin and body, and then rinse it off and feel your most silky soft skin. Pleasure, which I think is perfect for this time of year!
Late summer👣feet
Another tip: does anyone else get a little calloused skin on their heels? Here I notice that my heels, especially after a long summer where they have been carrying me around, and often barefoot, have really taken a beating. They become calloused, cracked and not so good. Then there is one thing to do, and there is also something as unusual as a rather QUICK FIX: chamomile balm !! It is absolutely indispensable for me! It is simply absolutely fantastic and incredibly effective!
I apply a little to my heels before I go to bed (while sitting on the edge of the bed), and it works wonders overnight! Sometimes in just one night, but if it's VERY hard skin, let your patience stretch to a week 😅 Soft, supple and nice heels, voila 😻

💖 Facial scrub:
Treat yourself to a luxurious facial scrub with hand-picked rose and red clover from Voss. Regular scrubbing gives the skin a glow and removes dead skin cells. Increase circulation and vitality in the skin with rose that provides a lot of nourishment and smells heavenly. Red clover is cleansing, strengthening, and very nutritious.

Late summer SPA:
Beautiful herbs, flowers, fruits and berries that are ready at this time of year - go out and experiment and play, let your creativity flourish 🌱💫 🍁
You are of course free to mix, tweak and compose your own delicious blends with your favorite botanical ingredients. But I would like to share two of my recipes for inspiration:
How to do it:
Take 2L of water, ⅓ dl Calendula , ⅓ dl dried or fresh rosemary and ⅓ dl dried or fresh yarrow, and the same with mint and anise. You start by boiling the water, and then you add the plants and turn off the heat when it has started to boil.
Let it steep for about 5 minutes.
Strain and pour into your bath (either a bathtub or a foot bath), and relax, inhaling the wonderful, warming and energizing scents!
Tip: save some for tea 🤩🌸
💛👱♀️Recipes with honey 🍯
Honey is the number 1 skin care ingredient! It nourishes the skin, really deep cleanses, adds moisture to the skin and scalp (by binding moisture), heals wounds and irritations, makes hair shinier and the skin soft.
I use honey in face masks, scrubs, hair wraps, hand masks, and soon I'll have to try smearing my whole body with honey and sitting in a sauna 😂 I've heard it's great! 😅🍯 Play with honey too, tips for using it with flowers and herbs below 🐝🍯🌼
Honey on your face is good for your skin and mood!
🌸🍁Late summer:
Scrub away dirt, increase circulation in the cheeks, and soften the skin with a delicious herbal scent.
Crush in a blender:
- 2 tablespoons oatmeal
- 1 bunch of lemon balm and some mint from the garden
- Mix with 1 dl natural yogurt + 1 tsp honey
👉 Massage the skin with the deliciously scented mixture, and rinse with lukewarm water.
👱♀️Hair wrap by Calendula and honey:
Maybe you, like me, have grown the beautiful marigold in your garden this summer. 🌼🧡It is a fantastic all-purpose plant, and here we are just going to mix it with honey. We have lots of bees here on the farm that make delicious, sweet honey for us, and I also use our honey in several of the Vossabia products , because it is packed with nutrients and fantastic properties. But here, for our hair, today it will be a wonderful Calendula - and honey wrap:
How to make:
Finely chop the marigold and mix with the honey.
How to use:
Use on wet hair and smooth it out, or comb it out. It's a good idea to avoid massaging it in too much, as it can be a bit difficult to rinse it out, so it's best to smooth it out over the hair and lengths.
PS: When you first start using this, you can also use it as a face mask at the same time - that way you'll get extra use out of your mixture, and extra care for yourself!
Let it work, while you relax and enjoy for about 20 minutes, before rinsing it out with warm, nice water. New energy and wonderful elasticity for your hair 👏 - so here it is, just enjoy! 💚
Eventually:
Flowers in the hair 🌼🌸
Flowers in your hair are as poetic as they are nurturing. Tips for some summer plants for your hair:
How to do it:
Boil water, add the herbs you want to use, turn off the heat, let steep for 10-15 minutes. Rinse your hair with the infusion/tea after washing your hair. And save some for tea 😘
