I'm going to see. Calendula over the next few days in my plant cellar! I'm giving summer a jump start in the winter, and it's not just the late-maturing tomatoes, peppers, leeks and chilies that are being sown now. No, early crops of Calendula makes life so much more delicious, so get yourself some seeds from solhatt.no and join us! 🌱🌼 And buy plenty, so we'll be ready as soon as winter lets go and the snow melts away: throw the artistic seeds out on a ready-made bed or field, it can withstand rough treatment and will give you plenty back for your efforts!
Calendula is definitely one of my favorites. Easily on my TOP 3 list! 🌟 There are so many things we can use the flower for, both internally and externally, and we can make so many good health-promoting things from it, and it does good for both heart and soul, in addition to body, skin and hair ❤️ I love Calendula and so did people in ancient Egypt and ancient Rome. All over the world it grows, and all over the world for thousands of years, it has shone and rejoiced and been of benefit to an enormous number of people ✨
Calendula You can enjoy the sight of it, you can eat it fresh, dry it, make tea, tincture, oil, extract and all of this you can use in a huge number of ways! In the pharmacy (and Vossabia (sit) we have, among other things, marigold tincture, which Ylva now has in her water as the flower is great for those who get sick a little often 🤧, and where it stays a little long. So then we now strengthen the good girl with Calendula that way too 😉
And I'm steaming early today with, among other things, Calendula . Then I had Calendula in my tea, smeared my face, neck, chest, stomach and lower abdomen with the wonderful marigold ointment spring. So it's no wonder I say this is the sun in our home medicine cabinet! ⛑
I created a little mind map to show all the fabulous health and wellness properties that Calendula offers. 🌼 Calendula has, like all plants, hundreds and thousands of chemical components, an enormous diversity of compositions. 👉 It has resins, flavonoids, polysaccharides, saponins, and important vitamins and minerals and so much more. So, even though I've used it as an absolutely fantastic DAY CREAM for 20 years now, because Calendula increases elasticity, suppleness and moisture in the skin, there are dozens of other good reasons to use Calendula too! Just check my mind map 👀
😍 Do you understand my wild enthusiasm for Calendula ?
At Vossabia we use Calendula both as oil, tincture and the superb Co2 extract in a range of products to give people the very best from plants 💚 It's not just the hugely popular marigold ointment spring, which by the way has huge amounts Calendula in itself, but also these great products that also benefit from being part of the marigold club at Vossabia:
🌼 Rosemary Hair Serum
🌼 Lemongrass Hair Serum
🌼 Sunscreen
🌼 All types lip balm
For 20 years, there has been a lot of feedback on the calendula balm , which is now available in three sizes 😉, about more supple skin, help with dry skin, eczema, good hand cream, day cream, children's ointment, and for the lips. There have also been many informative reports about relieved rashes and rosacea, hemorrhoids that disappear and acne and blackheads that disappear. And then there have been an enormous number of strong and touching stories about everything from severe eczema that gets better, help with severe burns , quick healing of wounds that have not healed for a long time, scar reduction, sore nipples and sunburn. And so much more. That's why I don't just want to call Calendula Balm a Day Cream. That's what it's great for, but when it's so much more , A TRUE UNIVERSAL, it's important to let everyone experience and experience it, and thus also learn more about the plant and plants in general with all its properties 🌱🌼💚
🐝
So my call today is to buy seeds, sow seeds and get ready in the winter for a glorious summer with Calendula ! 👩🌾 When it's standing there in your garden in a few months and just shining and coloring in yellow and orange tones, then we'll pick and process and use it! Here are some super tips for you:
👉 How to pick Calendula :
Pick when the weather is nice, preferably sunny and dry. Pinch off just below the green calyx below the petals. Then let them dry with the calyx on, and let it dry as long as it needs (the calyx needs time, it is tough and watery).
👉 How to make marigold oil that doesn't go rancid quickly 😉:
Pick as described, place dried flowers with petals and calyx in a glass jar, add 2 tsp/2 tbsp (depending on the size of the jar), shake and let it stand until the next day so the alcohol evaporates. Then add your favorite oil and let it stand for a month. Then you have a fantastic marigold oil! 🧡
👉 How to make Calendula tincture in the best way in the world:
Have Calendula in two Norwegian glasses. In one you have strong alcohol, preferably up to 95%, while in the other you have weaker alcohol about 35%. In the weak one you let the marigold's polysaccharides, which are more water-soluble, release, while in the strong one the alcohol-soluble components come out more easily. After a month you mix them, and there you have a fabulously powerful marigold tincture! 🌼
So all you have to do is apply some patience and Calendula Balm (hehe) and wait for seeds in the mail and a blooming summer! 👩🌾☀️
Warm regards,
