✨ Start of the season for school, kindergarten and... LUS!

✨ Start of the season for school, kindergarten and... LUS!

Good luck! Jonatan has now been at school for a week 🎒 And then, sure as a bell: The "lice patch" will probably come from school/kindergarten soon. And maybe you'll find lice on your hopeful little one.

Our proud boy who is in first grade and has now started at Bulken School! He has been looking forward to it for a long time! And he is so happy to have made new friends, learned all his letters, been to outdoor school, built a dam (and got soaked, of course 😅). A new phase for both him and us parents – fun and touching!

Jonathan on his first day of school

But the start of school also means lice season.

But, did you know that you can try 100% natural herbal remedies in the fight against the itchy, blood-sucking little lice poop (as Jonatan would say, because he says poop in every other sentence these days)? 😉

Read on - and you'll get new exciting package offers with a gift, tips, recipes and our best products for back to school and autumn 🍁

Lice hate lavender! I love lavender. Look how beautiful it is in my garden! 💜

🦈 Lice are like little sharks...

Lice smell human blood, just like sharks do – and even if sharks don't attack as quickly as we imagine, lice do!

When it smells delicious blood, and a head with hair is nearby, well then it doesn't walk, it runs towards new heads as soon as they get the chance. They have a super sense of smell, BUT: you can use their sense of smell against them!

👉 Lice hate the scents of tea tree, lavender, lemongrass, rosemary, and eucalyptus, among others. To us, these oils smell wonderful – to them, they are a disaster.

So in addition to combing your hair with a lice comb, it's super smart to use these natural tips to get rid of the lice!

It only contains plant oils that have long-standing experience in showing that they break down frizz in the hair!

Coconut oil can suffocate the lice and the essential oils kill the eggs and lice. Tea Tree oil plays one of the main roles, read below why!

The new product Lusestille is currently only available as a gift if you order a school and kindergarten kit before Sunday 31.08.

🌸 Lusestille – natural oil against lice

Tea tree – powerful protector: against lice, eggs, dandruff and itching.

Lavender - calm and protection: effective against lice together with tea tree, mild and soothing.

Eucalyptus – fresh strength: cleanses, invigorates and deters lice.

Blue Tansy – gentle calm and strong scalp: relieves itching and redness, strengthens the scalp and has a scent that lice cannot tolerate.

Use like this:

Prevention : a few drops behind the ears and in the hairline before school/kindergarten

Treatment : drip into the roots of the hair, massage in, leave in overnight (shower cap recommended), comb the hair the next morning. Repeat several times a week.

🍃 Tea tree - super power for hair and scalp

Tea tree oil, extracted from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, is one of the most widely used essential oils in hair care worldwide.

It is known for its powerful, natural properties and has been shown in studies to be useful against lice, dandruff, and irritated scalps.

🌟 Why is Tea Tree included in Lusestille?

  • Against lice: Tea tree is a powerful protector against lice, eggs, dandruff, itching. Can help kill lice and eggs, and has been shown in studies to be more effective than many pharmacy products – especially in combination with lavender and eucalyptus.
  • Anti-dandruff: Reduces fungal-related dandruff and irritation. One study showed that a 5% tea tree shampoo could reduce dandruff by 40% in four weeks.
  • Relieves itching: Has anti-inflammatory properties that calm redness, irritation and itching of the scalp.

💡 Tip during lice season: Mix a few drops of essential Tea tree oil in the shampoo for daily care.

⚠️ Always remember: Tea tree must be used undiluted, and tested on skin first to see if it is tolerated.

💙 Blue Tansy - the blue secret property in Lusestille

One of the ingredients that makes our new lice oil very special is Blue Tansy (Tanacetum annuum) - the beautiful, deep blue oil from the Mediterranean.

🌟 What does it do?

  • Skin-friendly : Soothing and nourishing for sensitive skin and scalp.
  • Relieves irritation : Can calm redness, itching and dryness.
  • Deterrents small insects: The aroma is sweet and floral to us – but disturbing to lice and insects.
  • Wellness: A lovely scent that has a calming effect and creates a feeling of harmony.

✨ Blue Tansy is one of the most sought-after essential oils in the world – and we are so proud to include it in our exclusive gift Lusestille.

Remember: Combing your hair is always key – but oils make the job gentler and more effective.

🍋🌿 Vossabia's lice miracle – Lemongrass hair serum

One of our most popular products also has a superpower that many people don't know about! This wonderful hair oil is great for nourishing hair and scalp, getting rid of dandruff, calming frizzy hair, and adding shine and strength.

But, it's also full of oil that lice hate! Hey hey, isn't this brilliantly good news?

  • Lemongrass: fresh scent that lice don't tolerate, which also adds shine, and works against dandruff
  • Eucalyptus: refreshing, cleansing AND a widely used natural lice repellent
  • Rosemary: traditionally used against lice, stimulates hair growth

Ylva loves Lemongrass hair serum for her lovely thick hair, but the lice hate it!

💡 Tip: Prevent lice by massaging a few drops of Lemongrass Hair Serum into the hairline at the back, around the ears, and gently pull small amounts out of the hair after washing – healthy, shiny and lice-free hair for the whole family!

Perfect for daily use for kids before they go to school/kindergarten. Also try at night by massaging a little more into the scalp and hair and sleeping with it to give your hair a treat, while also suffocating any lice.

💧 Recipe: make your own lice spray

If you have a little DIY in you, here are a few tips to keep in your spray bottle in the future:

  • 1 dl water or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel (optional)
  • 15-20 drops of essential oils (e.g. tea tree, lavender, lemongrass, rosemary)
Spray lightly over hair and behind ears before kindergarten/school. Simple, natural – and the lice will turn away 🐛

So just keep your fingers crossed for new friends at school and kindergarten, lots of fun – and no lice in sight! 😉

Warm greetings from us in Vossabia 🐝 🌸
PS: The Lusestille gift is only included until the end of August.
