There are many ways to protect yourself from the sun – but personally, I am concerned that it is not only protection we need, but also nourishment from this life-giving glowing star ✨
I learned a few years ago from a holistic, knowledgeable doctor that you should wait to apply sunscreen after about 30 minutes in the sun, so that the body can absorb its daily requirement of vitamin D. I practice this on both myself and my kids – because here in the north we are usually deficient in this important vitamin! 🌞
We went on a little trip to Karmøy yesterday and got our fill of vitamin D on some beautiful beaches. But, it was also good to have healthy and easy-to-apply sunscreen for the wild kid in the sand there! 😂
