From my bathroom window, by the shower, I have the most beautiful view straight out into nature. But, on a cold, rainy and foggy day like today, it was absolutely wonderful to be inside in the warmth and enjoy a natural and luxurious home spa in complete peace. 💚
It is still possible to use and enjoy nature 💚🌿
🧡 Autumn is a time when I feel a mixture of sadness and pleasure.
Sadness that summer is completely over for this year, and pleasure as I take in the beautiful crescendo of autumn colors in the mountains and forests⛰️
But even though nature is slumping and getting ready for the long rest, there are still some plants that are bursting with life and desire, which we can use with joy and enthusiasm. Go for a walk, feel the autumn and the cold and the contrasts, AND: pick some plants with you that can be transformed into a wonderfully warming home spa!
👇🏼 At the bottom of the email you'll find some recipes on how you can use these treasures to give yourself a well-deserved home spa! 🌼🛀

🥀🍯 Rosehip and honey face mask
The rose's fruit can be picked all autumn long, until frost takes them or they disappear under the snow. Did you know that rose hips contain more vitamin C than an orange, but also a good dose of iron and vitamin A.
· 10 freshly picked rose hips
· Thyme sprig
· 2-3 tablespoons water
· 2 tablespoons honey
· 1/2 cup oat flour
👉🏻 Here's how:
· Cut the rose hips in half – remove the core with a teaspoon.
· Place the rosehip halves and thyme sprigs in a pan of water.
· Bring to a boil, lower the heat – let the rose hips simmer under a lid for 5 minutes.
· Pour off the water.
· Remove the thyme sprig.
· Put the rose hips in a blender – create a puree consistency.
· When cooled – stir in honey and flour (adjust the amount if necessary).
(In the recipe I write oat flour, but you can also use buckwheat flour or another nutritious and preferably organic flour)
· Apply the face mask directly to your skin and let it work for about 15-20 minutes while you relax and enjoy life.
· Then rinse off with lukewarm water.
⭐ The result: A wonderful, refreshing mask with vitamin C that keeps the skin moist, young and fresh. The vitamin C content in particular makes this face mask also very suitable for mature skin.
🌿🌱 Facial toner with Sage or Rosemary
I love the scent of rosemary and have a lot of it in my garden. If you don't have a kitchen garden, this is an easy herb to get hold of, and it can be used both fresh and dried.
· Teacup with water 2.5 dl
· 1 tsp dried rosemary
· 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
+ Optional essential oils:
10 drops Rosemary oil
5 drops lemon lily
👉🏻 Here's how:
· Bring to a boil, put on the lid, turn off the heat and let stand.
· Add 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar.
· Add essential oils if you have any.
⭐ The result: A wonderfully fragrant facial toner that you can use to cleanse your skin.
🪒 Men can use this as shaving water. Another tip for shaving water is to use Sage 🌱. Here the bonus is also that sage has an antiseptic effect.
